The formation of Atmosphair Pty. Ltd. sees the culmination of the gathering together of a number of Electrical and Air Conditioning businesses, some of which have been operating successfully on the Gold Coast and elsewhere for around 50 years.
Don Darcy Electrical Services, FabElectrics and Atmosphair are all part of our vibrant group.
Together, we bring to the market an absolute “World” of experience.
Over a period of time you will find that we will be systematically re-branding the company. Eventually we will be universally recognized as “Atmosphair Pty Ltd trading as Darcy Air & Electrical”. We feel this will acknowledge the well-earned respect due to the strong history and recognition of the D’arcy name, at the same time recognizing changing times and modernisation of business processes and systems and the exponential evolution which has occurred in Electrotechnology since 1956.
In the meantime, a brief summary of the components of the group follows below. We hope this will give you some insight into the breadth, strength and diversity of the business.

DON DARCY ELECTRICAL SERVICES
Established: 1956. Purchased by Atmosphair Pty Ltd: 2007.
Industrial & Commercial Electrical Contractors & Switchboard Manufacturers. Founder, Mr. Don D’arcy, who sold the business to Mr. Terry Thornton in the 1980’s, is a well-respected doyen of Industrial Electrotechnology. Mr. D’arcy was responsible for some of the earliest automated control stations in Queensland for water storage, movement and treatment. Mr. Thornton carried on this tradition until his retirement in 2007, at which time he on-sold the business to our company. Darcy Electrical Services still holds contracts intrinsic to the original vision of the founder, such as Logan Water Treatment Works, quarries, bitumen works, commercial steam laundries, bakeries and other very large concerns on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and in the Tweed. Areas as far afield in Australia as Cairns, Townsville, Mt Isa, Rockhampton, Toowoomba and all areas in between are serviced by our company.
Our switchboards are purpose built for the USA, Asia and the Middle Eastern Markets.
We are justly proud of our strong reputation in the OEM industry.
Custom-built jacking platforms are a specialty. Many of these complex control units are shipped to Dubai each year.
Adept at PLC’s and speed drives, our dynamic teams are dab hands at keeping some of the Gold Coast’s and Brisbane’s most complex industrial sites on-line and on-time.
The library of blue prints and industrial cad drawings of many of the Coast’s most noted industrial establishments is a valuable Intellectual Property.
The factory boasts a fully functional metal workshop with lathes, mills, guillotines, pipe benders, plasma cutters, mig, tig, arc and oxy welders.
A section of the workshop is also devoted to an industrial lab, where CCTV pipe cameras are brought in from all over Australia from mines, refineries, utility providers and general CCTV companies to repair these delicate instruments and the “tractors” on which they travel.
With our large, mobile and versatile staff, we are able to service the immediate and intense needs of the diverse industries and public sector plants existing within our orbit.
FABELECTRICS
Established in 1979.
First making their mark as FA & BJ Bird Electrical Contactors in the North East of Victoria, this experienced company has evolved over the years to encompass all areas of electrical and mechanical installation and service.
Originally set up in general electrical contracting, the focus in those days was on large domestic and commercial installations such as wiring of new homes, unit blocks, wineries, commercial laundries, chair lifts in the snowfields, hotels, hobby, dairy and stock feed farms and sheep stations.
A large portion of the business was also devoted to irrigation, pumping and maintaining large portfolios in the public sector such as sewerage pumping stations for Water Boards, Housing Commission fit-outs in new homes and maintenance, State Rivers and Water Supply Commission, Public Works Department, Teacher Housing, fish hatcheries and hospitals.
Morphing into Tenax Kirsten Pty Ltd over the years, it is now the parent company for a number of enterprises.
An intrinsic function of this Division is the Electrical Wiring of new homes, unit blocks and complexes.

This business was originally established by Vince and Karen Lavin in 2004 as a partnership simply called “AtmosphAir”.
The “Comfort Creation” Logo has since become a highly recognized icon on the Coast.
Vince and Karen have a fine reputation borne of providing a high level of service and quality to their diversified clientele.
Able to provide a broad range of air conditioning types and styles, from splits to complicated ducted systems in both domestic and commercial applications, Atmosphair has positioned itself as one of the true market leaders on the Gold Coast and Southern Brisbane.
Having such a strong identity, we opted to honour this by utilizing the brand name in encompassing the entire group under the “Atmosphair Pty Ltd” banner when we incorporated.

The Directors of the Company, Mr. Vince Lavin and Mr. Fred Bird have years of experience in the various fields.
The support team encompasses family members and staff whom have been with the Darcy Group and the Air Conditioning and Electrical Groups for many, many years.
The firm has a strong commitment to the area, is zealous with customer service and thrives on challenge and growth situations.
Having taken over spacious premises in Arundel, we have set about modernizing the internal spaces of the business to enhance our staff efficiency and comfort.
